A visit
What a day with two painters is like
The same two people each time, and nothing a surprise.
- 01
Step 1: The day before
Ngozi phones to confirm the time and ask if anything has changed. If you'd rather it moved, it moves.
- 02
Step 2: Nine o'clock
Two of us arrive and say hello. We look at the room with you and take a photo of where the furniture sits.
- 03
Step 3: Getting ready
We move furniture, lay drop cloths and tape the trim. The rest of the house is closed off with plastic.
- 04
Step 4: Painting
Walls, ceiling and trim, in that order, with a break in the middle. We keep the radio off unless you want it on.
- 05
Step 5: Putting back
Furniture goes back where it was. We vacuum, take the plastic down and open the windows.
- 06
Step 6: A look together
We walk the room with you and fix what you point to. We text a photo to anyone you name.
At home
Staying home while we work
Most people stay. We make it easy to.
We finish one room before we start the next
The bathroom and kitchen stay yours, or we tell you in advance
Pets are kept in a closed room, and we ask you where
We open the windows and run a fan; ask for the paint's data sheet any time
A chair is always set up away from the work

About a visit
Do I have to be home, and will it smell?
You can be home or out. We finish one room before the next and keep the rest of the house closed off. We open the windows and run a fan, and the paint's data sheet is yours to read: just ask for it.
Who moves the furniture?
We do. We move it, cover it, and put it back where it was. Callum takes a photo before we start, so nothing ends up in the wrong place.
How long does a room take?
Most bedrooms take one to two days and most living rooms two to three. Your plan lists the days. If something takes longer we call you before we go on.
Do you work on weekends, or in bad weather?
Visits are Monday to Friday. Outside work waits for dry mornings, and we call you when a day moves.
Ask us anything before you decide.
We're happy to talk it through on the phone, with a family member on the line if you like.
